St Ives is the ideal setting for a sea shanty weekend. Participants will be taught traditional shanties from a folk singer and vocal coach, and have a go at writing their own. There will be voice exercises, breathing exercises, stagecraft advice and a final evening concert. The holiday is based at a country house with views of St Ives Bay. All meals are provided, such as a traditional tea on the first day, breakfast options, lunches to go and three-course dinners. Traditional rum, alas, is not included. Creative Writing in Greece

Author and tutor an experienced instructor conducts the regular sessions on this writing retreat. He covers everything from plot, character development, setting and tension, to submitting work to agents. Greg’s wife, the bestselling author Kate Mosse, will participate in events at the beginning and end of the retreat.
